Belloch: architecture, nature and technology in dialogue

A programme of activities exploring the interaction between built space, landscape and innovation

A programme of activities exploring the interaction between built space, landscape and innovation

A place to think about architecture

Belloch (from bello loco, meaning “beautiful place”) is a space conceived for learning, social interaction and the development of knowledge, in close relationship with its natural surroundings.

The Belloch complex, designed in 1965 by Manuel Baldrich, is a key work of post-war Catalan rationalism. It was originally conceived as a boarding school to accommodate more than a thousand children.

Today it is the corporate headquarters of Santa & Cole and urbidermis, where a knowledge park is being developed in line with its original educational vocation, on an estate of more than 200 hectares, around 30 kilometres north of Barcelona.

03-Capitalitat

Within the framework of the World Capital of Architecture 2026, Belloch opens its doors to activate its legacy through a programme of activities. The programme connects architecture, nature and technology, and explores new ways of inhabiting the future with responsibility, simplicity and attentiveness to our surroundings.
