The planter offers complete water and energy autonomy, combining a built-in tank with sensor-based irrigation, energy production and storage, and IoT connectivity. It enables the creation of green spaces in consolidated urban areas where underground utilities prevent the traditional installation of shrubs or trees, enriching plazas, streets, and pedestrian environments with biodiversity and improved quality of life.

Smart planter

Its autonomous sensor system continuously analyses environmental conditions, while a local intelligence makes decisions to ensure plant wellbeing with minimal human effort. From the substrate to the climate, every feature works in harmony to maintain the perfect balance between nature, technology, and sustainability.

The irrigation adapts to the needs of each plant, following its natural rhythm.
The planter integrates a sensor-based, vandal-resistant irrigation system that measures substrate moisture and temperature, automatically adjusting watering frequency according to each species’ requirements. Irrigation is activated automatically when needed, avoiding excesses and unnecessary water loss. The system also analyses climate conditions such as rainfall and evaporation to optimize water consumption and prevent waste.

Fully self-sufficient, with no need for electrical or water connections. Its photovoltaic system harnesses sunlight to power all components, even in demanding urban environments. It features a monocrystalline solar panel and an internal battery that ensure continuous operation of irrigation, sensing, and connectivity. Thanks to efficient energy management, it maintains stable performance even under low solar radiation. The 100L tank stores water for multiple cycles and sends an alert when empty, shifting from inefficient weekly watering to simple monthly refills.

Remote control from anywhere, without unnecessary travel. Equipped with IoT connectivity (WiFi, LoRa, 4G LTE, GNSS, and Bluetooth), Solana communicates with the Urbidata platform, where all planters can be monitored and managed. Technical staff can check current status, adjust irrigation patterns, access historical data, and receive automatic notifications about water levels, battery status, or potential faults, minimizing the need for on-site visits. In addition, its smart sensors detect impacts, movements, or unauthorized openings, enabling faster, more precise interventions with lower operational costs.

Technology to transform urban space management

Solana is more than just a planter, it’s a modular system designed to scale to any urban dimension. Multiple planters connected to a cloud-based infrastructure create a distributed green network. This system is built to simplify maintenance, optimize interventions, and enhance urban planning, turning streets, squares, and public spaces into sustainable and intelligent ecosystems.
