The urban lounge
Catenary lighting allows spaces to become more human and tranquil, prioritising wellbeing and providing freedom to incorporate vegetation and elements for relaxation. It enables the environment to be freed from vertical elements, transforming it into an open and pleasant space.
This more flexible and citizen-friendly approach places activities within the same multi-use space and establishes models for neighbourhood and everyday life. This means walking areas, the prominence of porous pavements, existing trees and new greenery, the creation of meeting, living and play areas.
Scenes of compositional freedom
The morphology of these urban projects does not respond to the conventional Cartesian model, but instead is made up of sloping routes and parks that open up or promenades with small pedestrian areas. They enhance spaces for people and nature.
Our luminaires combine symmetrical and asymmetrical light distributions with high uniformity (TII+II, TV) and adjustable catenary lighting accessories, to adapt the lighting scheme to the morphology of the project and to eliminate unnecessary structures. We also offer elements designed for private outdoor environments, where it is necessary to accentuate more staged nuances and to create visual continuity between the interior and exterior.
Our floodlights and luminaires – Arne, Arne S, Tumbler and Gunnar – are designed to achieve freedom of design thanks to an extensive family of accessories. Among these applications, catenary lighting brings us closer to these humanised environments that connect the city and nature. This has always been our commitment.
